正確答案:On Food and Health■Recently, a growing number of people are unconsciously choosing an unhealthy diet in their daily life. Some are eating junk food on their workdays and some are skipping all kinds of meat in order to lose weight. However, these choices are putting people’s health in danger.■As we know, the food we choose has a great infuence on our health. On the one hand, eating unhealthy food may increase the risk of having a certain kind of disease. For example, a high intake of salt may lead to bypertension, which can cause strokes. On the other hand, for patients who are already suffering from some diseases, a healthy diet can help keep things under control. For example, people with diabetes should pay close attention to their sugar intake.■From my perspective, keeping a healthy and balanced diet is an essential and also a basic step to a healthy life. So we should choose nutritious food over processed ones in order to stay healthy.
2). Stay Hungry for the Body Beautiful■1.Exereising on an empty stomach might help you get a six- pack sooner.Studies show that running on empty may not be such a bad idea after all.Though many athletes eat before training, some scientists say that if you really want to get rid of more fat,you should skip the pre-workout snack.Several studies suggest exercising while your body is low on food may be a good way to trim excess fat.In a recent paper,European researchers found that cyclists who trained without eating burned significantly more fat than those who ate.■2.Muscles usually get their energy from carbohydrates, which is why athletes like Lance Armstrong and Michael Phelps scarf down enormous amounts of food before a race. But if you haven′t eaten before exercising, your body doesn′t have many carbohydrates in reserve. That forces it to burn fat instead, scientists say. When you exercise (afer fasting),your adrenalin is high and your insulin is low. That ratio is favorable for your muscles to oxidize (break down) more fatty acids. Therefore, people who don′t eat before exercise burn more fat than they would if they had grabbed a bite beforehand.■3.In a study published in April, researchers at the University of Birmingham and elsewhere assigned seven people to cycle three days a week, followed by an intense session an hour later without eating.Another seven people followed the same regime, without the instruction to fast.Though members of the group that didn′t eat performed worse on the intensive training, they burned a higher proportion of fat to carbohydrates than the group that ate.The results were published by Medicime & Science in Sports & Exercise, the journal of the American College of Sports Medicine. In a 2008 study, researchers tested the effects on men who did endurance training without eating versus those who ate.In the athletes who hadn′t eaten, the researchers found a spike in the amount of proteins needed to process fat, meaning their bodies had been primed through fasting to burn more fat.■4.Other experts say that even though people may burn more fat this way,it is mostly fat within the muscles that will be lost and won′t make a big difference to people trying to lose weight. When you exercise (without eating),fat is broken down more quickly in the muscle. You may enhance how you burn the fat in the muscles, but it doesn′t affect your overall body fat.More intense exercise may prompt the body to burn more fatty acids in other regions of the body, but that a lot of training would be required to see a big difference.■5.The method wasn′t for everybody and that aside from the pain of struggling through an exercise session while hungry, there are other potential pitfalls When you postpone breakfast to exercise,it is possible you might eat more afterward.People exercising (without eating) need to respect all the normal strategies of weight control like not overeating.choose the most suitable subheading from list A-F for each paragraph of the passage.Paragraph 5( )

D.Exercising without food is not suitable for everyone and has disadvantages
E.Exercising without food may only burn the fat in the muscles instead of affecting your overall body fat

3). What’s the Difference between Type 1 and Type 2 Diabetes?■1.Diabetes is a serious and lifelong condition, typically associated with abnormally high levels of glucose,or sugar,in the blood.Although there are numerous similanities between type 1 and type 2 diabetes,it’s important to note that they are two very distinct conditions, each with its own symptoms and treatments.By understanding these differences and learning the correct treatment strategies for your specific condition, you should be able to manage it more effectively. Here are the main differences between the two most common forms of diabetes.■2.Type 1 diabetes, also known as juvenile diabetes,is a chronic illness in which the pancreas is unable to produce insulin,a hormone that enables cells to absorb sugar and convert it into energy.Although it can occur at any age, type 1 diabetes is typically diagnosed in younger people. The disease can be caused by a range of factors, including genetics and contact with certain viruses.Similar to type 1,type 2diabetes is related to the body’s inability to use insulin effectively.Individuals with type 2 diabetes can produce insulin, but it is either resisted by the body or produced at insufficient levels. This is,by far,the most common form of the disease, accounting for roughly 95 percent of all diabetes cases, according to the American Diabetes Association.Although the exact cause is unknown, excess weight and poor diet are thought to contribute to its development.■3.While both types of diabetes exhibit similar symptoms, there are a few small, noticeable differences.Like those with type1 diabetes, type 2 sufferers may experience increased thirst, hunger and frequent urination,as well as weight loss, fatigue and blurred vision. However, while these symptoms often develop very quickly with type 1 diabetes, many individuals can live with type2 diabetes for years before it is diagnosed.Sufferers of type 2 diabetes may also notice telltale dark patches on the skin around the folds of the body, such as the armpits. If you suspect that you may have diabetes, ask your doctor about getting a blood test.■4.Unfortunately,both types of diabetes are chronic, lifelong conditions. However,by closely monitoring and managing your blood sugar levels, you can keep the effects of diabetes to a minimum.Since type 1 sufferers are unable to produce insulin properly, they require regular insulin therapy.Insulin levels are generally managed using a combination of rapid-acting and long-acting insulin,in conjunction with intermediate treatments.■5.Managing type 2 diabetes can be less demanding, though it still requires plenty of discipline and determination.Monitoring your glucose levels regularly is essential to prevent dangerous fluctuations. You should be vigilant about eating a healthy diet and trying to exercise regularly.Over time, you should begin to learn how your body responds to specific foods and activities, which will enable you to treat your glucose levels accordingly.Paragraph 4( )
A.Solutions to type 1 diabetes
B.Causes of the two types of diabetes
C.Identify the two distinct types of diabetes
D.Symptoms of the two types of diabetes
E.Solutions to type 2 diabetes
F.Treatments of the two types of diabetes
